Description

This is a preserved Hartebeest tail, measuring approximately 22 inches in length by 5.5 inches wide, sourced from one of Africa’s most uniquely built antelopes—Alcelaphus buselaphus. Hartebeests are known for their elongated heads, high shoulders, and distinctive sloping backs, which contribute to their unmistakable silhouette on the savanna.

Their tails are thickly haired with a dark tuft at the end and serve both communicative and functional purposes—helping with balance, swatting insects, and signaling movement or alertness to other herd members.

This preserved tail offers a unique natural texture and pattern, making it a valuable piece for:

  • Taxidermy collections

  • Rustic or safari-themed décor

  • Educational displays or natural history kits
