Description

The oribi (Ourebia ourebi) is a small antelope found in sub-Saharan Africa, known for its slender build and alert demeanor. This species prefers open grasslands and savannas, where it thrives on a diet of grasses and herbs. Oribis are solitary or live in small groups and are characterized by their straight, spike-like horns and large, rounded ears that enhance their vigilance against predators.

Despite their delicate appearance, oribis are incredibly agile and can leap great distances when threatened. Their ability to survive in various habitats, from floodplains to hilly terrain, makes them one of the more adaptable small antelopes in Africa.
