Description

The lesser kudu (Ammelaphus imberbis) is one of Africa’s most elusive antelope species, inhabiting the arid woodlands and dense bush of eastern Africa, particularly Kenya, Ethiopia, and Somalia. Its striking coat marked with vertical white stripes and its tight spiral horns make it a uniquely beautiful and adaptive species. Lesser kudus are browsers, feeding mainly on leaves and twigs, and are most active at dusk and dawn. Despite their elegant appearance, they are masters of camouflage and rarely seen in the wild.
