Description
The Gray Duiker (Sylvicapra grimmia) is a small, solitary antelope found throughout sub-Saharan Africa, thriving in woodlands, savannas, and bushy habitats. Its light grayish coat, upright ears, and straight, short horns help it blend seamlessly into dry brush and forest edges.
Duikers are omnivorous browsers, feeding on leaves, fruits, seeds, flowers, and occasionally insects or carrion. Highly adaptable, they are known for their alert behavior and quick, darting movements into cover, earning the name “duiker,” which means “diver.”
This shoulder mount features a 4.25″ horn, lifelike detail, and a compact size perfect for educational displays, nature-inspired collections, or African wildlife-themed interiors.
