Description
The Damara Dik-Dik (Madoqua kirkii damarensis) is a miniature antelope found in arid and semi-arid shrublands of Namibia and Angola. Weighing only a few pounds, it is among the smallest hoofed mammals in the world. Males grow short, straight horns, while both sexes feature a large snout used for cooling in the dry heat.
Dik-diks are monogamous and territorial, feeding on leaves, fruits, and shoots. Their small size, large eyes, and gentle behavior make them a favorite among wildlife enthusiasts and educators alike.
This shoulder mount features a 3″ horn, exceptional detail, and an SCI Gold score of 9 10/16, making it ideal for nature-themed interiors or collectors of African biodiversity.
