Description

The Cape Bushbuck (Tragelaphus scriptus sylvaticus) is a regional subspecies of the bushbuck found in southern Africa, especially along forest edges, riverbanks, and mountainous slopes. Compact and elusive, the Cape Bushbuck is known for its short, spiral horns, deep-colored coat, and white throat and body markings.
