Description

The Blue Duiker (Philantomba monticola) is one of the smallest antelope species in the world, standing just 12–16 inches tall at the shoulder. Native to dense forests of Central and West Africa, this species is named for its soft, bluish-gray coat and secretive nature.

Blue duikers inhabit shaded understories, using their compact size to move through tight vegetation. They are omnivores, feeding on fallen fruits, fungi, leaves, and even bird eggs. Their keen senses help them avoid predators in low-light conditions.

This rare full-body wall mount captures the animal’s small stature and lifelike posture on a naturalistic base. It’s an ideal addition for natural history displays, exotic interiors, or educational collections focused on African biodiversity.

  • Species: Philantomba monticola

  • CITES: Appendix II
