Description

The Blue Duiker (Philantomba monticola) is one of the smallest antelope species in Africa, native to the dense forests of Central and West Africa. It gets its name from its short, bluish-gray coat, which helps it blend into the shaded undergrowth where it forages.

Standing only about 12–17 inches tall, this elusive antelope is known for its quiet, solitary behavior and agility in navigating tight forest spaces. Blue duikers are omnivorous, feeding on fallen fruits, flowers, leaves, and small invertebrates, contributing to seed dispersal and forest health.

This full-body mount showcases the duiker’s petite frame and graceful stance on a custom base with foliage, ideal for wildlife education, museum exhibitions, or refined African-themed interior décor.
