Description

This is a preserved Blesbok tail, sourced from the South African plains-dwelling antelope Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi. Known for their distinctive pale face markings and herd behavior, blesbok are commonly found in open grasslands and are closely related to the bontebok and tsessebe.

Their tails, long and coated in soft, natural hair, serve as tools for insect control and subtle signaling within the herd. This specimen is preserved in excellent condition, making it a unique item for:

  • Natural history collections

  • Safari- or tribal-inspired décor

  • Educational or anatomical references

  • Crafts, ceremonial props, or oddities enthusiasts
