Description
ALLIGATORS- The name “alligator” is thought to be the English form of the Spanish word “el lagarto” meaning lizard, which the Spanish explorers used when exploring Florida. An average adult American Alligator can weigh up to 790lbs/360kg and grow to 13ft/4m. The largest ever recorded measured 19.2ft/5.84m. Alligators are native to only North America and China. Alligators have some of the strongest bites ever recorded in the Animal Kingdom.
